WICHITA — Monday is going to be a particularly tasty day at Bradley Fair.

Cocoa Dolce Artisan Chocolates and Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza are opening their new locations next to each other there.

choc“We’re just excited — and exhausted,” says Beth Tully, the owner of Cocoa Dolce.

She’s moving the retail portion of her 4-year-old store from 1,200 square feet at Siena Plaza at 37th and Rock to 1,800 square feet at Bradley Fair at 21st and Rock.

Today is Tully’s last day in business at Siena Plaza. She reopens Monday at 10 a.m.

“We’re trying as hard as we can just to recreate in a larger scale what we had in Siena Plaza,” Tully says.

That means “massive amounts of work to do” in the next several days.

Tully says that for the first time, everything will have its own place in the store. Previously, she says, the store grew so fast that it was hard to keep up.

The new store “has just this really beautiful, comfy vibe that we were never really able to keep up with in Siena Plaza,” she says.

She told a friend, “It’s like we’re finally going to sit at the big kids’ table.”

Il Vicino is keeping its location near Douglas and Oliver. The new Bradley Fair restaurant will be the second Il Vicino in Wichita.

pizzaThe new location will seat 80 with room for more on an outdoor patio.

The restaurant opens Monday at 11 a.m. but will have four meals Friday and Saturday to benefit the American Cancer Society (call 265-3400 for tickets or buy them online). Tickets are $25 a person or $40 a couple.

Although Tully plans to typically close her store about an hour earlier than Il Vicino (she’ll close at 9 p.m. on weeknights and 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays), she says if there’s demand she’ll consider staying open later.

“We’re certainly flexible.”
